One of the biggest legal battles in Australian GM history is brewing in Western Australia, following organic farmer Steve Marsh’s loss of his organic certification because of GM contamination.
For the first time in Australia, an organic farmer has lost their organic status because of contamination by GM canola. Kojonup farmer, Steve Marsh, confirmed in January that his oat and wheat crops have been downgraded to conventional crops because 70 per cent of his property has been contaminated with Monsanto’s Roundup Ready Canola.
Considering that organic wheat sells for $500 to $800 a tonne more than conventional wheat and GM seeds can remain viable for a number of years, Mr Marsh is facing massive financial losses. He has confirmed he will take legal action. In response, Monsanto has announced that it will bank-roll it’s GM farmers legal defence.
Meanwhile, the Western Australian Government has done nothing to assist Mr Marsh. Agriculture Minister Terry Redman has taken the same position as Monsanto regarding Mr Marsh’s decertification. In October, Redman wrote to Mr Marsh blaming organic standards for not allowing GM contamination. “The threshold for accidental presence in organic crops is an important issue which needs to be addressed to enable coexistence,” Minister Redman wrote, stating that zero tolerance for GM in organic crops is “unrealistic”.

Kevin Bracken is the Secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) Victoria Branch and President of the Australia Victorian Trades Council Hall, which represents 400 000 workers. He will be speaking, in a personal capacity, on “Corporate Media, The Trade Unions, War and 9/11”. Bracken is one of the leading trade unionists in the world, who has publicly challenged the US official explanation of 9/11, and the political use of “terrorism” by governments internationally to escalate the attacks on democratic rights and repression of the labor movement and working people around the world.

This song title is a reference to a concept created by a think-tank called The Club of Rome. In One Hundred Pages for the Future, Italian scholar & industrialist, and co-Founder of the Globalist “think-tank” The Club of Rome, Aurelio Peccei, wrote:
“Along with the concept of the limits to growth, The Club of Rome had proposed that of the world problematique. For there exists in the world a dreadful mixture of problems, whose roots and ramifications we have not managed to grasp, and from which humanity cannot escape.”
Consider the lyric from the song, “Why can’t we see, that when we bleed we bleed the same?” when reading this exert from Peccei’s book:
“We do not yet possess a sufficiently clear understanding of how all these elements are linked to be able to attack the problematique as a whole. For this reason, each problem is dealt with more or less in isolation, within its own terms, even though these may be only symptoms that we treat to no avail. In addition to this, the opening lyric, “Fear and panic in the air,” while setting the tone for the “Problematique,” may also be a reference to Mars, in that the red planet’s two moons are named Phobos and Deimos, who were the Greek gods of Fear and Panic. Such a connection would fit in with numerous references to Mars in the album, including the album cover.The song is also as the trailer for the 2006 apocalyptic film Children of Men.
“World Problematique is a concept created by the Club of Rome to describe the set of the crucial problems – political, social, economic, technological, environmental, psychological and cultural – facing humanity. The complexity of the world problematique lies in the high level of mutual interdependence of all these problems on the one hand, and in the long time it often takes until the impact of action and reaction in this complex system becomes visible.”

It examined the past thirty years of reality with the predictions made in 1972 and found that changes in industrial production, food production and pollution are all in line with the book’s predictions of economic and societal collapse in the 21st century.

That’s why it’s so refreshing to see a truly talented band like Muse singing about important and cutting edge issues and being successful in the process, reaching millions of young people who might otherwise have been trapped in the babylon system of popular culture that is warping young people’s minds and turning them into depressed, disenchanted, powerless, and soulless creatures whose manipulated mindlessness prevents them from even being able to think straight amidst the ceaseless din of the psychological attack they are under from music and popular culture in general.
The new world order attack on our society is about more than politics, money, and power – it’s about stealing the minds of our own children and filling them with self-destructive, humanist, post-modernist, spiritually devoid crap that destroys their innocence, their hope, their strength of character and their moral compass.

It is with a very heavy heart that I feel compelled to share the news with the Truth Movement that our beloved Janette MacKinlay, 9/11 survivor, activist, organizer, author, artist passed away yesterday morning. We will always miss her.
Janette's book- Fortunate: A Personal Diary of 9/11
Janette lived across the street from the World Trade Center in 2001 and was not merely a witness to the attacks, but survived, along with her fellow artist and companion, Jim Lecce, when their artloft’s windows were broken and their apartment filled with dust and debris when the World Trade Center tower came down. Janette’s book, Fortunate: A Personal Diary of 9/11 is a vivid account of her experiences. She has told her story many times, in presentations, to radio, television, print media. Janette also changed as her story, and the larger story have continued to unfold over the years, granting her more and more insight into her own experience, that of other survivors, and victims’ family members, as well as a deeper understanding of the larger political realities that continue to be discovered by the truth movement. Janette’s evolution can be seen in her art and through her actions, over the years. Her story is a powerful one and I hope that someday a great filmmaker will be able to piece it together, right now it is scattered in many documentaries, many places, entwined with many other narratives. Janette was a very important bridge between many people whose lives were deeply changed by the events of September 11th.

I remember some things that she said again and again about the deafening noise of the towers collapse and the incredible silence in the aftermath (or maybe their ears actually were damaged and they did become literally deafened in the wake of the collapse). Janette, as well as many others suffered from post traumatic stress, in the aftermath, and she tried to heal herself through her artwork, the beautiful, gentle, ancient art of Ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arrangements. However, she knew that those immediately in the vicinity of the towers, who heard the noise, breathed the air, felt and were transformed to the marrow of their bones by an event which would forever haunt them.
When she was suddenly diagnosed with brain cancer last February, she knew instantly what the cause was – 9/11, the dust…

Janette appears in the latest Loose Change documentary- Loose Change: 9/11 An American Coup, telling about how when she returned to her apartment to gather what valuables survived, not just the attack, but the looting that took place, she saved some of the dust and gave some to Professor Steven E. Jones when he realized that analysis of the dust would provide important clues into what really happened.
Janette moved back to her home in Oakland in 2001 and I only met her for the first time in 2005 when the 9/11 Commissioners were addressing the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco. They are the ones who convinced Janette that they were lying and covering up the truth. I traded a copy of David Ray Griffin’s book- The New Pearl Harbour- Disturbing Questions about the Bush Administration and 9/11 for a copy of her book. On that same day, my friend, Blaine Machan, who created the Deception Dollar gave me her name and phone number via e-mail. She was distributing some of our Deception Dollars at one of her art exhibitions.
I invited her to the Northern California 9/11 Truth Alliance meetings, and also persuaded her to become our treasurer that autumn. We became friends and worked together on many events and projects.
Another member of our group, who created the original http://www.sf911truth.org website also became a very good friend of Janette’s and they traveled together to New York City where she showed him where her old apartment was. By some miracle, the apartment had been renovated and was available again, and Janette and Jim decided to move back to New York City. So Janette became an amazing bridge between activists on the West Coast and activists on the East Coast, and helping and participating in, and organizing two major 9/11 Truth Conferences- The Revealing the Truth- Reclaiming the Future Conference in Chicago in 2006, and the 9/11 Accountability Conference in Arizona in 2007.
Janette had a beautiful home and was a wonderful hostess, and we had a lot of “mailing parties” at her home, as well as just “parties and celebrations” for many reasons (including to celebrate the wedding of Jim Hoffman and Victoria Ashley), visits of activists from other parts of the country, whom she often hosted at her home. She held a fundraiser there for the 9th Annual Northern California 9/11 Film Festival which was also a benefit for Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth and NYCCAN.

She believed strongly in accountability and spent time in the office of Attorney-General Jerry Brown (our newly elected governor) to push him to look into and take on a new investigation into 9/11. She also approached Senator Barbara Boxer and others, and encouraged her peers to contact the media and put pressure on elected officials, as well. She had a tremendous amount of courage and heart, inspiring many people to take action. She was tremendously loyal, encouraging and supporting those who stuck their necks out to organize events, to speak, to take action.

She was proud of her two sons, Mark and Brian, and most delighted when her grandson, Huxley was born. She had planned to take care of Huxley two days a week, when suddenly one evening her speech center was impaired by the tumor and the hospital determined something was seriously wrong.
Many of us urged Janette to try some non-traditional treatments, but she had confidence in the medical profession and her sons who rushed to her side to help her through the initial biopsy, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy.

After the surgery, she suffered from aphasia (which limited her ability to talk, but she understood everything she heard). For awhile she surrounded herself with art, beauty, family, and friends, but she was drawn back to the Truth Movement, joined us to have dinner with Bob Bowman and his wife, Maggie, when they visited the Bay Area last summer. A stroke impaired the right side of her body and curtailed her ability to walk.
World Trade Center 7 was the third skyscraper to be completely destroyed on September 11, 2001.
The ad began airing on election day and will run through November 10 on 13 channels, including CNN, MSNBC and VH1. NYCCAN, the group who created the ad, estimate that it will be seen by nearly 900,000 viewers. The group plans to commission an opinion poll after the run of the ad and send the results to every City Council member.
Manny Badillo, one of the family member who appears in the spot, said “For the next two weeks, we the people will see, many for the first time, the demise of the Salomon Brothers building on the day of my uncle’s murder. What you witness allows critical thought about details of the crime that we have not been told by our elected officials or corporate media. Knowing all the facts of the case leads to decided actions for the better. The truth saves countless lives in a million ways, and properly memorializes our loved ones.”
Trades Hall president Kevin Bracken calls 9/11 ‘conspiracy’

Kevin Bracken, the president of the Victorian Trades Hall and secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia, sparked anger this morning after claiming the attacks were not the result of terrorist activity.
“I believe the official story is a conspiracy theory that doesn’t stand up to scientific scrutiny,” Mr Bracken told ABC talk-back host Jon Faine.
“In my mind the buildings were imploded.”

“I challenge you to a public debate,” Mr Bracken said.
“Aviation fuel doesn’t get hot enough to melt steel and no high rise steel frame building before or after September 11 has ever collapsed due to fire.
“I stick to scientific fact.”

This is not the first time Mr Bracken has voiced his controversial opinions on the attacks on the World Trade Centre and Pentagon.
In 2006 he told The Australian he believed the attacks only worked because the American government was in some way involved.
“If they want to stop terrorism they’ve got to look at who was really behind September 11,” Mr Bracken said at the time.
“It couldn’t have happened unless there was participation from key elements of the American military and government and security services. I am not saying the whole lot were involved. But I believe the official story for September 11 doesn’t stack up.”
Mr Bracken said in 2006 his views on the terror laws and September 11 were his own, and he was not speaking on behalf of the union.
JULIA Gillard has dismissed as “stupid and wrong” a senior union official’s belief that the 9/11 attacks were a conspiracy but has refused to discipline him.

The Opposition opened parliamentary question time on the matter today, with Victorian MP Josh Frydenberg asking the Prime Minister what action she would take against Mr Bracken “to send a message that such remarks are unacceptable”.
“Obviously I don’t agree with the remarks, obviously they are stupid and wrong,” Ms Gillard said.
KEVIN Bracken is a genuine bit-player in Australian politics, as president of the Victorian Trades Hall Council and a Labor Party member of the inner city Port Melbourne branch.
But yesterday he was propelled on to the centre stage of national debate when the Coalition used him to kick off the daily Question Time ritual in Federal Parliament.
Josh Frydenberg, a former Howard government senior staffer, is a Liberal Party politician to watch – smart, savvy and he can carry an argument.
He was let down by his own leadership when the tactics group, which plans the Question Time attack, handed him a piddling question to ask Prime Minister Julia Gillard. Frydenberg referred her to a comment from Bracken about the al-Qa’ida attack on the World Trade Centre which he said was a US Government hoax.
Frydenberg wanted Gillard to discipline him and “send a message to others that such remarks are unacceptable”.

Gillard brushed the question away, saying the Labor Party was a big organisation which included people who said things that were “stupid and wrong”.
The Prime Minister finished by telling Tony Abbott that if he wanted to set a precedent under which members were expelled for saying stupid things, she could whip up a long list of qualified Liberals in quick time.
This question betrays the lack of real tactical focus by the Opposition.
TO suggest that the al-Qaida terror attack on the World Trade Centre towers on September 11, 2001 was actually a US conspiracy is nothing short of appalling.
Even worse is the fact that the person publicly spruiking the theory yesterday was Kevin Bracken, president of the Victorian Trades Hall as well as the secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia. He claimed the buildings were “imploded”.
Labor Prime Minister Julia Gillard reacted appropriately in question time yesterday when asked about the inflammatory comments by the senior trade union office bearer. She replied that the remarks were “stupid and wrong”.
There were several angry responses from callers after Mr Bracken rang Jon Faine to air his opinions yesterday.
Back in 2006, Mr Bracken said the attacks “couldn’t have happened unless there was participation from key elements of the American military and government and security services”.
He declared: “I believe the official story for September 11 doesn’t stack up.” At the time, he emphasised that these were his personal views and that he was not speaking on behalf of the union members he represented.
But whether Mr Bracken realises it or not, the 3000 people who perished in the World Trade Centre buildings were workers, just like the very people he represents.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister distanced herself from Mr Bracken. “Obviously I don’t agree with the remarks, obviously they are stupid and wrong,” Ms Gillard said. “The Labor Party is a large organisation, people join it as individuals … we don’t dictate what people think.”
Thankfully, Mr Bracken’s extreme views are not shared by Trades Hall secretary Brian Boyd, who said: “It was a terrorist attack, and we condemn it.”

Kevin Bracken, the senior Victorian unionist who claims that the 2001 World Trade Center collapse was not caused by terrorists, called talkback again today to demand a right of reply.
Kevin Bracken made it clear that this time he was calling as a private individual, not as President of the Trades Hall Council and Secretary of the Maritime Union of Australia.
Yesterday Kevin Bracken called Jon Faine’s Mornings program claiming the official story of the 9/11 attacks ‘doesn’t stand up to scientific scrutiny’.
His comments attracted worldwide attention and earned rebuke from Prime Minister Gillard and the Secretary of the Trades Hall Council.
Today he attacked Jon Faine himself for dismissing his claims out-of-hand.
“Unfortunately cowards like yourself have set the political agenda in this country for too long,” said Kevin Bracken
He called Jon Faine a bully and challenged him to a debate on the issue.
Jon Faine refused the debate.
Kevin Bracken’s initial call was in response to the Parliamentary debate on the Afghanistan war.
“What we should be doing is calling for a proper investigation into the events of September 11,” says Kevin Bracken.
“I believe that the official story is a conspiracy theory, that doesn’t stand up to scientific scrutiny,” he says.
His comments were brought up in Federal Parliament during Question Time where the Prime Minister called them ‘stupid and wrong’.

VICTORIAN Trades Hall president Kevin Bracken remains unrepentant after his controversial comments about the 9/11 attacks made news around the world.

Mr Bracken stood by his comments and said he had the support of 50 per cent of the community.

In Victoria, Shadow Attorney General Robert Clarke said Mr Bracken’s comments were a direct insult to Australian soldiers serving in Afghanistan.
“It strikes at the very heart of the West’s struggle against terrorism and it is a disgrace that while Australian soldiers are serving and dying in Afghanistan that Mr Bracken make these wild claims that undermine the very reason for their presence in Afghanistan,” he said.
Mr Clarke called on Premier John Brumby to condemn these comments in the strongest possible terms and for the outspoken union leader to be disciplined.
“The Trades Hall Council needs to consider Mr Bracken’s future as its president and the MUA needs to consider his future as their secretary,” he said.
“These comments can’t stand they need to be condemned in the strongest possible terms.”
Trades Hall secretary Brian Boyd said Mr Bracken did not speak on behalf of the organisation.
“The official Trades Hall position is not to entertain that theory,” Mr Boyd said.
“We had almost 3000 working people killed in that terrorist attack. It was a terrorist attack, and we condemn it.”
Mr Boyd said Mr Bracken’s views had caused many debates behind the walls of Trade Hall.
“He is welcome to his views and we’ve discussed his theories,” he said.
“But I totally disagree.”
Mr Boyd said he stood by his colleague despite his extremist views.
“99 per cent of the time Kevin’s a very good president,” he said.
MUA national secretary Paddy Crumlin distanced the union from the comment, releasing a statement saying its position on the attack was “unambiguous”.
“The 9/11 tragedy was a result of a terrorist attack by international terrorists who claimed responsibility,” he said.
“It is the MUA’s position – one that I passionately support as national secretary – that this attack is one of the greatest affronts and abuses of human and civil rights in contemporary history.”
On the 28th of March, 2008, the Victorian Trades Hall Council passed this motion after lengthy debate supporting a thorough and independent inquiry of the terrorist attacks on 9/11. From the minutes of the meeting on the 28th of March 2008;
“That this meeting of VTHC Executive Council calls for a thorough, independent enquiry into the tragic terrorist attacks of September 11.
The events of that day have been used to start pre-emptive wars “that will not end in our lifetime”. They have been used to attack civil liberties and legal principles that have been the cornerstone of civilized communities.
There is an urgent need to reassess the way we view the world after September 11 and we call for proper investigation into the events around that day.”

Visibility 9-11 Welcomes Australian Union President, Kevin Bracken – A True Working Class Hero!
To many the name Kevin Bracken is a new one in regards 9/11 Truth. The reality is that Kevin has been a champion of the 9/11 Truth cause since 2006 by disseminating information throughout the Victorian Union Movement and the Maritime Workers Union of Australia. He has distributed DVD’s, shown films and shared information regularly with his associates and the people of Melbourne and he achieved motions calling for a new investigation from both the Victorian Trades Hall Council where he is the President and the Victorian branch of the Maritime Union of Australia of which he heads as Secretary. Kevin has also attended numerous conferences on 9/11 and has been the facilitator of such in Melbourne, Australia. Over the years Kevin and I have developed a close working relationship, both striving for the truth 9/11 to come out to bring end to the wars and to get our rights back that have been eroded since 9/11!
This is the motion passed on the 28th of March of 2008 at the VTHC;

On the 20th of October 2010 Kevin was asked to ring into ABC 774 Mornings with John Faine although Faine disputes this. This was following an email that was sent to Faine by Kevin questioning 9/11 in the context of Australia’s ongoing support of the Afghanistan occupation. After the recent Australian Election it was demanded by the Australian Greens in a “balance of power” deal that the Australian involvement in the Afghan War be debated in parliament in it’s first sitting. This debate had been going on this week and it was the first time any such debate had happened since 9/11, which is simply outrageous.
This interview by Faine was possibly the most biased ever heard in Australia on radio broadcast by the tax payer funded Australian Broadcasting Corporation. This attack by Faine of Bracken’s questioning the 9/11 events included a torrent of ad hominem slurs and an absolute refusal to discuss any evidence that the events were anything but what we have been told by our governments. A reasonable explanation of what happened and also with attached audio can be found here. This story titled “Trades Hall president Kevin Bracken Stands by his 9/11 Conspiracy” has been reported all around the world and included a poll which started off running at around 50/50 asking if Kevin’s questions about 9/11 were “reasonable” but has continued to move in his favour ending up at the time of writing these notes at 75% in favour of Bracken.
Kevin has received literally thousands of thank you’s from around the world for his brave stance for 9/11 Truth! Standing his ground even after being directly verbally bashed by the Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gillard saying he was “stupid and wrong” and having his own leadership comrades buckle at the knees if the face of unfounded ridicule. Rather than running for cover Kevin with his chin in the air has reiterated his position defying any to debate him on the issue! As usual all media presstitutes have refused, as there is obviously “no debate to have”. It seems that the vast majority of the public disagree and would like to see such a debate but none of the so called “journalists” dare to tread such a path.
Interesting to note that John Faine is now complaining that the ABC has been swamped by 9/11 activists and it may take the ABC many weeks to deal with the massive amount of complaints and comments they have received. Many of these I know to be formal as I have received many courtesy copies of the complaints to the ABC accusing them of breeching their charter and broadcast policy.
The battle for 9/11 Truth is far from over and as long as the fools in power maintain their policy of occupation of Afghanistan they will remain exposed and at risk of criminal prosecution due to the lies of 9/11. Lets hope it comes soon or they realize and stop the bloodshed.

And exhibited none of the characteristics of destruction by fire, i.e.

In the the aftermath of WTC7′s destruction, strong evidence of demolition using incendary devices was discovered:
8. FEMA finds rapid oxidation and intergranular melting on structural steel samples
9. Several tons of molten metal reported by numerous highly-qualified witnesses
10. Chemical signature of thermite (high tech incendiary) found in solidified molten metal, and dust samples
WTC7 exhibited none of the characteristics of destruction by fire, i.e.
1. Slow onset with large visible deformations
2. Asymmetrical collapse which follows the path of least resistance (laws of conservation of momentum would cause a falling, to the side most damaged by the fires)
3. Evidence of fire temperatures capable of softening steel
4. High-rise buildings with much larger, hotter, and longer lasting fires have never “collapsed”.

With reference to Geoffrey Thomas’ report (Searches go too far: airline staff, 13/10), as a captain with a local airline I am also subjected to security screening on a daily basis at the Perth dometic terminal and at times question the effectiveness and relevance of the current system.
One issue comes to mind. As pilots we are already security checked, like all airside workers, and display the required security pass for tarmac acess. However, we are the only people to have full access to the flight deck airborne and, more importantly, have a vested interest in the aeroplane’s safety and security.
With this in mind, I have lost count of the number of times – while in uniform – my umbrella or shoes are picked up as a threat to the aeroplane, all the while catering trucks, cleaners, and baggage handlers to mention a few, are free to access all areas unsupervised and unchecked.
On rare occasions I’ll challenge the security staff to explain why either item is a threat. Their response is always: “You may have hidden a knife.” My response is: “What would I do with a knife?”
They reply: “You may use it to take control of the aeroplane.” Then I remind them: “I already have control of the aeroplane!” Blank looks follow because the regulations don’t allow common sense.
The inconsistency is frustrating at best and political smoke and mirrors at worse. I think our airport security legislation and regulations were hastily implemented and our elected repesentatives are treading a slippery slope, restricting liberties for the appearance of security.
I have to wonder what’s next as the naked security scanners roll out next year.
